Members of the Board, the Artistic Director and volunteers don’t receive a salary for their work. Stichting FolkBaroque Amsterdam has no paid personnel.
As of the 3rd of Juli 2018 Stichting FolkBaroque Amsterdam received the ANBI status.
Antoinette Lohmann (1969), artistic leader, studied the violin, the viola and the baroque violin at the Amserdam Conservatory. Antoinette has always been active in varied musical areas and her experience includes Argentinian tango, salon music, folk music and contemporary music. Currently her repertoire stretches from the early seventeenth century to the 21st century, but always on period instruments. Antoinette teaches principal study Baroque violin, viola and historical documentation at the Utrecht Conservatorium and is the principal teacher of the Historical Performance Department as well. Since 2008 she has been visiting South-Africa regularly to give concerts and, most of all, to teach.
Gerrien Anbeek (1967) Member of the Board and Festival Director, grew up with piano lessons and singing, as a mezzo-soprano in the CLV-Koor under conductor Jan van de Putte, with a baroque repertoire from Bach to Haydn and Irish Folk to ‘Een nachtegaal in Echternach’. During her master study, she joined a choir in Utrecht. Gerrien works as an (interim)director in the financial and corporate sector and is a member of the General Members Council of the NCD – Dutch Association of (Non)Executive Directors and supervisory board member of a Health Care firm. From 1998-2003 she was a Global Director Program and Change Management at KPMG Consulting in New York, Washington, and London. Subsequently, she worked as an Associate Director at EY. She will deploy her relevant network and broad experience with enthusiasm at the advantage of the Stichting. Gerrien lives with her family in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Herlinde Gerrits, Secretary of the Board has a background in biology, communication and integrative psychotherapy. She works at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam as a teacher / coach and has her own practice in the Jordaan. In the past she worked for cultural festivals, such as Oerol and the Amnesty film festival.
Irit van der Veldt, Member of the Board teaches, in addition to her work for FBA, communication at the Faculty of Economics at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Working daily with (prospective) marketers, she teaches that behavioral change and fun go hand in hand.
